WSOS’s HWAP program is designed to reduce home heating costs for eligible persons. We also provide emergency grant funds for low-income homeowners with homes containing serious problems representing a health or safety threat to the occupants along with long term home rehabilitation plans. Financial Assistance is provided in the form of a 0% interest, deferred loan for downpayment assistance, closing costs, principal mortgage reduction and comprehensive counseling. [read more]
Renters
The program is designed to address problems of rent affordability. Rental demand in most areas is extremely high and affordable units are scarce. Many renters with limited incomes experience problems in affording adequate housing. Financing for needed repairs is designed to keep owner debt at a manageable level, so that affordable rents are maintained. [read more]

Certified Housing Counselors can provide one-on-one counseling, homebuyers education workshops, seminars or presentations on a number of subjects regarding the homebuying process. [read more]
